UB40 will be performing a concert at the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 8th April with special guests to be announced. The show will be part of an annual week of concerts at the Albert Hall in aid of the 'Teenage Cancer Trust.'

When a young person contracts cancer they are put into a ward that is usually inhabited by old terminally ill cancer victims, which is now recognised as having a negative effect on their recovery process. The aim of the organisers of this annual week has been to open a ward in every major city in England to cater specifically for teenagers. To date they have achieved 4 wards. Each year the concerts at the Albert Hall manages to make enough money to fit out one ward completely with specific technology and equipment needed for treatment and to furnish these wards with internet capability, music and an ambience that is at once optimistic, vital and positive. The success rate with teenagers in this environment has been fantastic.
